Julie Terry was born and raised in Jacksonville. She is a graduate of Jacksonville High School, and attended the University of Texas at Austin as well as Stephen F. Austin State University, and holds a B.A. in Psychology.

She is a designated Certified Residential Specialist and is a member in the Council of Residential Specialists. She served as a Director on the Cherokee Board of Realtors in 2004, and was elected as the board's Secretary/Treasurer for 2005.

Julie is married to Todd Terry, and they have two daughters, Janzen and Toby.  Julie is a member of First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville.
